The Tennessee Public Records Act (Tennessee Code Annotated 10-7-101 et seq.) is a series of laws designed to guarantee that the public has access to public records of government bodies at all levels in Tennessee. The law states that any citizen of Tennessee may request public records. Public documents shall "be open for personal inspection by any citizen of Tennessee.
Any citizen requesting access to public records should complete the Public Records Request Form.
